Welcome to Tukuran
Tukuran is a 4th class municipality of Zamboanga del Sur with 25 barangays. The total land area is 13,925 hectares more or less and the total municipal water is about 1,892 hectares. It has a narrow coastal area with a coastline of only about 5.88 km, one of the shortest among the municipalities but has the best beach in the entire Illana Bay. Fishing is second only to farming as primary source of livelihood and income to the 8 coastal barangay of the municipality.
