Sakayan Festival

The Celebration of Araw ng Tukuran every April 1^st of the year endorses the Sakayan Festival.  This festival was chosen to promote the tourism of Tukuran because it identifies the culture of the people and its livelihood.  The boat or “sakayan” as called by our native language – is one of the first transport facilities used by our people in transporting produce from barangays to barangays long before.  The activities of the festival involves the parade of lavishly decorated sakayan, regatta, and sea games using sakayan.
