Major source of living in the municipality is farming.

 

The other source of living is fishing.

 

Livestock and Poultry

Animal population of the municipality is increasing annually.  Rising of animals are become the alternative livelihood of people and are also undertaken by either background on commercial scales.  In response to animal dispersal program instituted by the municipal and national government through the Department of Agriculture, livestock farms are visible in different upland barangays.

 

Commerce and Trade

The municipality has an excellent number of business establishments divided into four types, namely as business services: this includes the bakeshop, barbershop and the likes, finance services: pawnshop, cooperative and lending, recreational services: beach resorts, cable TV network and computer shops and business traders which consist of wholesalers and retail traders.  

Remaining industries includes wood furniture, plant and cold storage, bakeries, welding shops and others.  Other industries are important for the development of the municipality because it adds comfort and accessibility to the people, it can create jobs for individuals without work and gives additional collection of revenues.
